Our Beliefs
Doctrinal Statement
We believe the Holy Scriptures of the Old and New Testaments to be verbally inspired Word of God, the final authority for faith and life, inerrant in the original writings, infallible and God-breathed. (II Timothy 3:16-17; II Peter 1:20-21; Matthew 5:18; John 16:12-13)
We believe in the one Triune God, eteranlly existing in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. Co-eternal in being, co-identical in nature, co-equal in power and glory, and having the same attributes and perfections. (Deuteronomy 6:4; II Corinthians 13:14)
We believe salvation is a gift of God brought to man by grace and received by personal faith in the Lord Jesus Christ, whose precious blood was shed on Calvary for the forgiveness of sins. (Ephesians 2:8-9; John 1:12; I Peter 1:18-19)
We believe man was created in the image and likeness of God, but in Adam’s sin the race fell, inherited a sinful nature, and became alienated from God; and that man is totally depraved, and of himself, utterly unable to remedy his lost condition. (Genesis 1:26-27; Romans 3:22-23; Ephesians 2:1-3, 12)
We believe the Lord Jesus Christ, the eternal Son of God, became man, without ceasing to be God, in order that He might reveal God and redeem men, and that He accomplished our redemption through His death on the cross as a representative, vicarious, substitutionary sacrifice; and that our justification is made sure by His literal, physical resurrection from the dead. (John 1:1-2; Luke 1:15; Romans 3:24-25; Ephesians 1:7)
Preaching
We would be glad to answer any questions you have about our ministry and our doctrine. We believe doctrine is very important in our ministry and our daily lives as individuals. We cannot err from the truths of the Bible in our personal lives and expect to be right with God. The world says, “follow your heart,” but our feelings are easily swayed. “The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked: who can know it?” (Jeremiah 17:9).
We believe in preaching the Bible as it is written and interpreted in context and through much prayer. The responsibility of the Word is not taken lightly. We must handle the Bible with care. “For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.” (Hebrews 4:12)
Children Ministries
We take great care to ensure your children are safe physically, mentally, and spiritually. We strive to make their time with us fun and engaging, but even more importantly we strive to teach them foundational truths found in the Bible. Children are so impressionable, and we believe it is the best time to start teaching them the Bible. The church is not to take the place of the parents. The Bible makes it very clear the parents are the primary spiritual guidance of their children, but we work to encourage the training they receive at home and help the parents by providing safe and spiritually growing environments.
